Announcing an exciting opportunity for college students and recent graduates: Books Tell You Why is accepting applications for a social media and marketing internship! Our program will provide hands on training with cutting edge software as well as experience with social media, marketing, and rare books. Best of all, it's remote.

Books Tell You Why Wants YOU...

coffee_shop_PDOur interns are aspiring writers, graphic designers, and future marketing professionals. They have varied backgrounds and academic interests. The ideal candidate doesn't necessarily have experience with marketing or rare books--we're here to teach you about those things. But they do love books. Passionately.

This position could be a great fit if you are...

  • A lover of books as objects and art

  • A strong writer who appreciates constructive criticism

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently to meet deadlines

  • Willing to become an integral part of a small, tight-knit team

The Nitty-Gritty

If you join our team, you'll work alongside a group of talented, highly motivated bloggers and marketing professionals. Our online curriculum gives Books Tell You Why interns a little taste of everything:

  • Contribute to our blog: We'll mentor you in writing for the web, teach you the principles of SEO, and give you constructive feedback on how to improve your writing.

  • Dip your toes into social media: Help us deliver interesting, relevant content via social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and LinkedIn.

  • Build marketing tools: Create original content across a variety of platforms to be used in online and print marketing campaigns.

The best part? This internship is remote--you can do it from anywhere, and there's no coffee fetching required. You'll need a reliable internet connection and a willingness to meet weekly via channels like Skype or Google Hangout. The position requires about ten hours per week (or more if desired), and we're happy to help you get college credit for your work.

If you're interested in joining our team, submit your application today--we'll get back to you within three business days. We look forward to hearing from you!

Apply for our internship program!
